Finally!!

Seeing as its a new year, and I have not blogged in a VERY long time, its probably time to change things a little.
As of now - I will post tutorials of almost everything I make - and if I didn't post a tut, you have full right to ask me for one - I may/may not have a good reason why there is not tut.
I am also going to start posting my cooking (mostly baking experiments). That was the original plan a - cooking and sewing blog.
And lastly I will try and give you a few blogs (every now and then) that inspire me. There are some AMAZING blogs out there!

So here are a few to start you off:
Cooking: http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/(my favourite blog at the moment - I should probably give you a week or two to chew on this one before giving you another one :)

Sewing: patchworkpotter.blogspot.com - I could hang out on this blog for days!!!!!

Thats all for now - but my baby booty tutorial will be on the blog SOOOON!!!!

Carli and baby Kotze's booties

The booties I have made before are all exactly from the pattern, so these ones are my first experiment with adjusting the sizes - these are made to fit a newborn - they are teeny, can't believe that humans can be that small...And I got to use my Japanese fabric. Looking forward to baby Kotze making his entrance in to the world!

I made these booties for a special little lady called Carli. And I got to try out my new fabric stamps from Japan: note the cupcake:)

a minute to spare

So I needed a break and decided to make something small, easy and quick from my felting book. The result: a bookmark. It might not be very challenging but I'm sure it would be useful if you needed to have your kids do something entertaining.

Birthday present!!!

I got this amazing felting book from my hubby for my birthday!!!! So many things that I want to do, so little time....

Japandemonium

So Japan was absolutely amazing and although craft shopping did occur it was not at the top of the agenda. I did however realise that Korea's fabrics are just as good as Japans, if not better in some cases - so I only bought one (shocking I know.)
Another of the many obsessions that I have is stamps, and I found some cute ones that I can use on my fabrics. I also found that most of the craft stuff had stickers on that said, made in China - I will be visiting China in Feb 2011!!!!!!

One of the main things I wanted to buy was a Japanese sewing book, and I got this great one about baby clothes, booties, bibs etc. Japan was a great inspiration and I'm excited to get started with the next project.

Sam's booties

So I have started experimenting with an old obsession again - baby booties. These I made for a friend who is having a baby soon.  My husband and I are on our way to Japan for a week so I will make some more when I get home.
